'16 FL CB Tyler Byrd (UT Commit 2/2/16)

I think whether or not Byrd flips will tell us if our coaching staff knows more than everybody else or if they are in the dark. If Byrd stays in Miami, it may be a bad omen for signing day. It could be the kind of signing day where Nigel Warrior goes to Auburn, and some of our own commitments flip.

Wow, okay, I think that's a little over the top

And then let the world know Wednesday, right?

I guess,I'm not going to bother the kid like the other people tweeting him. I just looked at his twitter feed after the UM board said he retweeted a UT pic edit & saw that tidbit

Not sure if already posted or anyone else saw this, but Devante Brooks posted a video on Periscope where most of the players and recruits were on the field at Neyland. Byrd is walking past and Brooks asked, "Ty, you going to commit?"

Byrd puts his index finger over his mouth and says, "Shhhh"

Vol, IMO

Just speculating, but I think we know one way or the other by Weds. night at the latest.

Shut it down guys. We're all hillbillies who date our cousins and Miami is a championship destination while we're trending down. He'll go to Miami. Trust me. I read it on the Miami boards so it must be true.

Seriously, I get the annoyance at trolls and anger at fan bases in situations like this, but it's impossible to find any information on their boards either because 90% of their Tyler Byrd threads are used to bash us, the team, school, state, people, Knoxville, etc. and to essentially sit there and proverbially pat each other on the back. They take what some posters on here do to a whole new level.

Don't discount the Larry Scott relationship either. Coach Scott has known this kid along time and has a great relationship with him.

I agree that cant hurt. It seems like the kid has alot of love for miami but he realizes tenn may be the best place for him.

More speculation. If he signs with UM, he's over rated and we did not want. If he signs with us he should be a high 5*.

I don't know about this rotating your best CB out. Maybe they'll be groomed to replace the starters next year. If Justin Martin has a good year he's gone along with Sutton and Foreman. To tell the truth I see Osborne and Byrd getting late game action and involved heavily on ST units. We've got experienced talent and don't need these guys to make an impact honestly.

Yep...Id been saying it would just be nice to see Byrd and Osborne get reps like TK and E. Berry got behind McNeil and Randolph.
