Yeah if I am Byrd I sure want to stay in little Cuba and play for a coach I barely know who just got fired.

This doesn't get enough weight. He's never met any of those coaches until a few weeks ago. He was committed to Golden/Scott for 2 years, not Richt.

He knows Scott much more than he knows Richt. Richt also screwed the pooch at UGA with his brother Files-aime by completely ignoring him on a visit. I am sure that is coming into play.

Plus, other than the city atmosphere, what does Miami have to sell over Tennessee? Not history, off-campus stadium that has MAYBE 10,000 fand in it, awful facilities, inferior conference...I just don't understand the optimism once he saw Tennessee.

Richt is a nice guy. That being said, he couldn't coach with talent. What makes you think he'll coach without it?

It sounds like family may be the only ones there to watch him play- Miami can't get anywhere near a full stadium of fans and they are becoming a forgotten about team nationally. Compare that to coming to Tennessee getting national exposure and a full rocking stadium EVERY game. Maybe that's what his comment was pointing to when he said best decision for HIM.

LOL better coaching. Hard to find a coach who had underachieved more than Richt relative to the talent on the team and in the state.
And i doubt class size is near the top of the list for a football recruit.
I will give u the rest, but its a pretty short list compared to the "why UT is better" list.
