Welp, Mecole is gona force Butch to go after Tee Martin and Velus Jones. Passing game coordinator for Tee? B Jones calls the play in to S Jones who gives to V Jones on the fly sweep who follows J Jones to pay dirt

Atlanta Vol and OV, both saying it's over, barring a Richt departure, but VN denial is strong

Could not knowing who in the hell those people are have something to do with this denial? It shouldn't be hard to understand why not everyone gives credibility to anonymous sources on the internet... but I guess it's that whole 'check their stats' deal, right?

OV info also being taken as 'it's over' by many posters which is not accurate when it comes to recruiting. He is telling us good info. UGA certainly has the leg up at this time. And its possible it stays that way. But if you have followed recruiting you know these are 17 year old and there is time until NSD.

Yes he knows all about our sports broadcasting and what it has to offer he was wowed by it on several occasions, I just think the pressure to stay home is overwhelming I've said this many times it would be like Richt trying to get Tee Higgins to come to UGA just a tough pull but I stand by what I said uga's to lose

OV, do you think there's any connection with the offer to Velus Jones from Alabama and this recruitment? What I am implying is that I wonder if Hardman has already told the coaches that he committed silently to Georgia, and this is their way of moving on. As we know, we will still recruit Mecole, but will focus our efforts harder on the next prospect on the board.

Certainly seems obvious that offer in connected to the coaching situation at USC. We would take both Jones and Mecole, therefore I don't see how you could make a connection between that offer and Mecole.

Did we need that to remind us that Richmond was "Ole Miss' to lose"? You're right that Hardman's recruitment is different. Richmond was verbally committed to Ole Miss for close to 5 months and showed no signs of flipping until mid January. We had posters come to his thread every week to post that Richmond was overheard recruiting for Ole Miss during his visits here and that Butch was being naive for still pursuing him. Some of you are really putting a lot of stock in what an anonymous poster says. I have seen too much misinformation here to consider anyone who chooses to remain anonymous 'a pretty legit source'. Those calling for Butch Jones to focus his efforts elsewhere should really trust his judgement a little more than that. After all, he has a strong track record and his sources (the actual recruits) are usually more reliable.

The recruitments of Richmond and Hardman are so different that they aren't really worth comparing.

Richmond was an instate recruit and was already committed to Ole Miss, so no, we didn't need someone to tell us at this time last year that he was theirs to lose.

If this were mae-ka-dudi, or some other random Johnny-come-lately poster who had yet to prove their legitimacy, you'd have a point, and one I'd agree with. However, OrangeVenom has proven time and again to be very plugged in to Georgia recruiting, and Hardman's recruitment especially, so you'll have to forgive me if I put more stock in his opinion than I do in any handful of Tennessee homer fans who blindly hope Butch can sprinkle his magic recruiting dust and land whomever he chooses.

If you look at OV's track record, you'll understand that his opinion carries some weight on Georgia kids. I'd love for him to be wrong, and as with all things recruiting, situations are fluid. But, if OV says that, as of today, he is UGA's to lose, then I'm apt to believe him. He hasn't given me any reason to doubt him in the past.

You are just being ignorant. We don't deserve posters like OV with crap like this. A RF ignore coming on to join boner dawg cat.

Still a long way to go with some players we are in on (Warrior, Williams, Brown) and it didn't figure to be as strong for '16 because of our numbers, no legacies this year and a relatively weak year in state. We just didn't start with a lead for as many players.

However, '17 should be a top another 10 class and maybe even top 5.

This except Warrior is a Legacy. I'm sure you knew that though.

No there's not there looking for explosive playmakers and no he hasn't told any coaches from any school he has silently committed. It's always been UT/UGA not saying it's over because we all no what Butch is capable of recruiting wise I'm simply saying he's UGA's to loose.

Have you seen Velus Jones film? I want him even of we get Mecole. He's a spectacular prospect.

I know you know Georgia well, so do you think if he did want to come here, he would handle his recruitment the way he is to keep people off his back? I could not imagine all the things he would hear if he even implied we lead for him.

But the negativity generated by calls to fire him could help us with Mecole. The more Georgia losses the more angry the fans get the better it is for us in recruiting.

Can't the same be said for Butch Jones and Tennessee fans though? Granted, that noise probably is tempered down the stretch as we should finish up 5-0, but if we slip up vs UK, USCe, or Mizzou, the heat will be turned up by the fans once again.

You're right. So it goes both ways. Pressure is on us IMO.

I'm assuming we win out. No excuse considering how bad the opposition is.
