I don't think getting a big time coach is as easy as many think. Most are locked up at their schools. UGA can either stick with Richt and win 8-10 games a year or roll the dice on an up and comer who could be the next Meyer or the next Dooley.

The chances that they hire a coach as good or better than Richt is very slim. It's far more likely whoever they hire is a downgrade.

Georgia can do a lot better than Richt imo. To accelerate our rise up the food chain,a bad year and coaching change might improve our 16 class which is good short term. Long term, better situation than Mac walked into day one and the right coach could have a dynasty at Georgia.

They are looking into both Kirby and dan Mullen....Kirby will be first choice If usc doesn't pluck him first. I was at one of their bigger boosters house for the uf game today and literally calls were being made to other boosters during the 4th quarter discussing options and opinions ...was pretty funny being a fly on the wall.

They are fed up simple as that. Personally I wish the would keep richt around :)

They might be fed up but it could be a lot worse and sometimes you gotta be thankful for what you have. It's not like they have won a National Championship in the last 10 years, it's been almost 35 YEARS!!! Dooley won because he had Herschel and some decent other players

It is ignorance in the sense that I don't know who they are or what they do that makes them such reliable sources beyond reproach... or why it's even such a secret.

I have no idea what the last sentence means. The queen's English next time, maybe?

Well, if you follow recruiting on here and pay attention with the GA prospects, then you would know that OV usually drops in and brings the goods before we hear it from anywhere else. He almost never misses. That's why most listen when he speaks. Start paying attention from here on out with the GA kids, and you will see that he always has very good info.

Which is why I asked... It's great that we have such dependable insiders on VN and as a member I appreciate it. I was just curious how they are privy to the source of their info. Georgia high school coach? Camp instructor/organizer? Tennessee booster / former player living in Georgia with connections? I was just wondering.

Sometimes we may never know but be skeptical of short histories and if DUDI is in their name.

Og. I don't think it will matter as it relates to mecole if richt leaves. He is so far out of the recruiting piece internally that I think that it won't affect things. However it may play a role if someone new is in place and how they handle the situation. Just thought I would give you my two cents.

On another note a great win last night for our guys!

Perhaps my wording is too strong here. Of course it is not over till NSD, but I'd say this one is UGA, barring a coaching change in Athens. We'll see
