Heads will roll if Georgia stumbles against UK next week in Athens. And that is possible with their QB situation.

UK's defense actually did a decent job stopping our run game last night. Take out the big run from Kamara, and our RBs didn't do much of anything running the ball last night. UGA's QB won't bring the same element as Dobbs to the game.

I think UK might give them a really tough game.

Which is why I asked... It's great that we have such dependable insiders on VN and as a member I appreciate it. I was just curious how they are privy to the source of their info. Georgia high school coach? Camp instructor/organizer? Tennessee booster / former player living in Georgia with connections? I was just wondering.

Why would any of us feel so entitled that we'd need to know. The beginning of your statement is awesome. Just enjoy information from quality posters as we receive it whether good or bad news.

It's free.

Dobbs had nice really nice runs also. Always weird to me that Vol fans discount our QB runs but gave credit to Florida and Auburn for Tebow and Newton.

We ran for 250 yards on Kentucky and called the dogs off for a quarter. Their run defense sucked.

This recruitment has a Drew Richmond feel to me . A kid that visited a ton that is between us and the home school and the kid is committing on NSD

Maybe Mecole just loves the Dawgs the way we do our Vols. I'd ride the pine at UT before I'd play at Georgia.

The argument could also be made that if ge loved Georgia that much that he would publicly commit and try to bring some talent with him. He may be doing it behind the scenes but It doesnt seem like they really have the skill players lining up to play with Eason like they thought they would.

Maybe uga has sold him on eason being savior of their season. Personally I will welcome a true freshmen at the qb position. I hope they start him next year

Yes

Og. I don't think it will matter as it relates to mecole if richt leaves. He is so far out of the recruiting piece internally that I think that it won't affect things. However it may play a role if someone new is in place and how they handle the situation. Just thought I would give you my two cents.

On another note a great win last night for our guys!

Thanks for your thoughts.

That's not true unless you know for sure you're not going to the nfl.

Exactly. These kids are smarter than some want to give them credit for. Choosing a college is maybe the most important decision of their lives regarding their future. Since almost every big time recruit wants to make it to the NFL I'm sure they think about more than going to their favorite school.

If I was a big time recruit, there's no way I would pick Tennessee, even though it's my favorite school, if the program was still without any direction like it was under Dooley. I would go to the program that best helps me reach my goals.

Eh I dont know. Georgia is reeling right now but lets not confuse the UK defense with UFs defense. Totally different teams. Also this game will be in Athens. If the game were being played in Kentucky then I would say you're right, it would be tough.

I think UGA comes out and plays with a huge chip on their shoulder and puts a whipping on UK. I would love to be wrong though and UK blow them out :)

He's going to be making a huge mistake signing with Georgia

This has to be one of the most absurd things posted on this site. Regardless where he goes it won't be a mistake. He will get his education paid for and most likely do it in the SEC.

Also that's what everyone said about Vonn Bell and Jalen Ramsey but they both would argue they made the right choice and have rings to prove it.

I was taking Dobbs out of the equation because UGA won't feature a running QB in their game plan the way we do.

I'm not saying UK will win. Just that I wouldn't be surprised if they scrap with UGA for 3-3 1/2 quarters. UGA's offense is much more one dimensional than ours and should be easier for UK to defend.

I said I, as in me. I'd go to UT.

I realize. I'm disagreeing with you. If you are an NFL caliber player, and the Vols are loaded at your position be it whatever and already have great players committed. I don't care how big of a vol fan you are, you're going to reconsider.

UGA has a lot of eggs in the Eason basket. Look back over the last few recruiting classes, at those 5* QB's. The fact is, you never know when that next All-American QB is going to end up being your punter, and you're down to taking transfers from programs with 70% of your average win total over the last decade.

Fuente to Miami, or USC.
Kirby to Georgia.
Kiffen to South Carolina, so we can beat that ass every year.
I think USC will win the Fuente sweepstakes. If I were the hottest new name among college head coaches, that would be the No.1 opening. However, USC has gotten hot since Clay Helton took over as the interim HC...so, it makes sense to give him the job if they stay that way. Continuity will win the day. If the wheels come off again, that goes out the window and Fuente will be the hire.

I think the Houston HC goes to V.Tech or Miami. Smart will probably go to USCjr. Don't think any AD is stupid enough to roll the dice on Kiffin again. He should just get used to being an OC. He blew up his HC'ing prospects by bailing on us after just one season, then sucking badly with a mountain of talent at USC.

The guy that would scare me, going to USCjr would be the Bowling Green coach (Babers). He came from Baylor and that guy knows offense. Kirby Smart wouldn't bother me one bit.

It is a battle of who gets their head straight. UK is coming off a beat down by UT after thinking they had a shot. UGA was a no show for the most important game of their season.

UGA doesn't appear to have an offense now. There's little respect for their run game without Chubb and an "interesting" drama at QB.

I won't be surprised if UK wins. I won't even be surprised if they win comfortably.

The saddest part is that UGA is closer than ever to firing Richt. He's a nice guy... and a guy I would love to see coach a lot longer at UGA. If they change... they might find someone who can recruit AND coach.
