I agree its crazy if you're looking at it over the next 3-4 years.

However, I'm all in for 2016. I think of you add a dynamic slot receiver like Mecole Hardman to this roster, we win the national title.
It's crazy whether you are looking at now, a decade from now, or a decade ago. It's like you really want to have a clue about football, but just really struggle with the basics.

Something tells me that we get all 3. Are we heavily recruiting any more receivers? I think Brown, Warrior, and Mecole are ours for the taking come NSD! JMO.

According to VQ, TN has never lead for a recruit. They just "position themselves well."

Hubbs believes in building credibility with his audience through being very guarded with optimistic news. So whenever he does give a scoop on an important Tenn recruit leaning our way you can take it to the bank that we will get him. Some people find this approach boring others find it refreshing that he doesn't pump sunshine... He has always been this way going back to when he was giving recruiting updates on Sports Talk with Mike Keith and Cody Allison back in the mid 90's. I remember an exchange between Keith and Hubbs in '96 that went something like this:

Keith: "Tell us where Tennessee stands with defensive line prospects, right now."

Hubbs: "I feel good about where Tennessee is with Shaun Ellis, a defensive end out of Anderson, South Carolina."

Keith: "He is already committed."

Hubbs: "I should say that I feel very good about where Tennessee stands for Ellis."

Our insiders think we lead. Going to be a crazy battle all the way to the end

There are lots of reasons for a player to choose a school and many have nothing directly to do with where the program is or coaches. But from the outside looking in based just on football, UT appears to be rising while Auburn appears to be floundering some.

You know your team better than we do and even more so since UT and Auburn didn't play this year but is there a lot of reason to believe that Auburn will go from last in the West to competing for the West? Immediate playing time appears to be available on D for you all but if he's good enough he will play for UT as well without carrying so much of the burden that he risks injury.

Am I the only one that watched the army all-american game?
Do you not realize it when you do this? You overreact to one piece of information even to the point of ignoring all other factors. You simply cannot know how any of these guys will respond to college coaching or the grind of a whole season or career based on a HS all star game. I hope we get him. Would love to have 2 of the 3. Would be ecstatic over all 3. But you're not being rational.

Two very good players are ALWAYS a safer investment than one potentially great player.

This kid is the second coming of Antonio Brown. Put him on this team and our offense is unstoppable. Even without Brown and Warrior I expect Shoop to take the defense to another level.
Wow.... I can't find the words... and that's saying something as you all know.

We win the national title in 2016 with Hardman. He would make a Calvin Ridley/Christian Kirk type impact as a freshmen for our offense.

Really? Hardman all by himself in 2016 is the difference in winning or not winning a NC? Before he even takes his first practice snap in college... he's the guy who can bring UT a NC?

Are you reading what you write? Even you should be able to see how ridiculous it looks.

Of all the ridiculous things he says, the part of your post that I bolded is more ridiculous than anything he says. The fact that you think he should/could/would be able to see how ridiculous his statements are is crazy talk. He has proven without a shadow of ANY DOUBT that he lacks the ability to see how ridiculous his posts are. That is as inevitable as death and taxes.

Mecole needs someone to give him the ball without airmailing it first ;)

Yes... but it's also a way to say a lot without saying anything. It's boring which is why 247 is crushing Rivals.

I believe we get Brown and Warrior, but Hardman is too in love with Pruitt to go anywhere else. UGA would be my second guess for Hardman, unfortunately. Would love to have him here, he looked explosive on punt returns at the Army AA game

We are in good shape here. If he comes thru with his visit on the 29th then you may want to load the cannons! Butch is spearheadimg this one along with CBS.

Wow, can't believe CBS loves the Vols and wants to help with recruiting. Huge selling point, IMO. (I kid)

Edit: beaten to the punch by golfer
