'16 GA DT Derrick Brown

I guess the people predicting on 247 don't believe what VQ is saying then. Brown is one I hope we get. Will help make NSD a positive and keep UT in the college football discussion.

I would think Brown is one of those recruits people making predictions on keep up with. I understand a lot of those predictions for UGA were made a long time ago. What I'm saying if I actually believe what VQ is saying about Brown, I'd get more points for changing my prediction to UT today than the night before NSD.

Yeah I wouldn't get too excited here unless a bunch of UT predictions start rolling in. We heard all about how we had Adoree locked up because the parents loved UT.

No one thought Adoree was "locked up for UT" except overly-optimistic Tennessee fans who wanted to find the positive spin in every move and comment he made. He was a LONGshot from the beginning.

Makes it even more important to get a quality HS DT this cycle. Kmac, Shy, Vickers and Johnson could possibly all be gone after next year. I'm sure Phillips wants to stay at end. That wouldn't leave us with much there at all.

For reference, Preston Williams had 4 CBs to UGA, 1 to USC, and 0 to UT.

No, but with ESPN not in Knoxville this time there won't be much UT talk on a very important day. Warrior will at least give us some good vibes. Being the hat on the table but not the choice for Brown, Simmons, Dickerson, and others could sting. Hopefully Brown picks UT. Obviously with us having back to back top classes followed up by a 15-20 would have ESPN pointing out the drop off.

I would not read into that too much. You're looking at CB predictions, and the majority of those predictions were made in March 2015 or before. A lot has changed since then. There hasn't been a CB prediction after November 4, 2015, and that prediction was from a guy who writes for the AJC.

We have the last OV. It would be unwise to downplay the significance of that fact. It is well known that our staff is pushing hard for one more HS DT in this class, and I'd be willing to bet Brown is at the top of the staff's list.

The guys from VQ and GV247 have continued to state we are in good shape. Just recently, we got a prediction from a Rivals national analyst (Woody Womack) that primarily covers the southeast.

1) where did he say top 2?
2) his 247 profile is littered with UGA
3) We seem to not fare well when going head to head with Barn.

I think it's Auburn in the end, just bc of Kevin Steele and Rodney Garner. Those two, smh.
