The 6-foot-2, 195-pound defensive back from Detroit, Mich., was on Rocky Top with more than 40 members of his Cass Tech team on Thursday as they camped and toured Tennessee.
"It was cool. It was pretty good to be able to work out with coach (Willie) Martinez. He taught me a couple of things, a couple of drills," Vance said. "It was cool to come out here with my teammates and just compete."
"I like it down here. It's a great place. I could see myself being here," Vance said. "I still am committed to Michigan State but it's a great place."
i like it down here. Its a great place, said vance, whos ranked the nations no. 274 overall prospect and no. 14 safety in the 247sports composite for the 2016 class. i mean, i can see myself being here right now. But im still committed.
its a great place, i can say.
247id have to say the coaches and the whole atmosphere and just the environment out here, its great, vance said.
the fans are crazy, too. The fans are just crazy.
Its no surprise the No. 1-rated safety in Michigan has accumulated 15 offers already, including ones from programs like Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa and Nebraska. That number is expected to continue growing despite his verbal pledge to the Spartans, and Vance praised his camp experience with the Vols while emphasizing his commitment to MSU.

Vance continued to echo his loyalty to Michigan State, but he hasnt shut down his recruitment process yet and is still open to visiting other colleges before making a final decision. The fact that Tennessee was able to get him on campus is no doubt a step in the right direction in trying to sway the Midwests best safety.
