It isn't doubt in him. He's a good talent. It is just a belief that of 3 very good potential QB's... he's 3rd in terms of physical talent.

Depends on your opinion of what's the most important "physical" component. I lean toward throwing for QBs, myself. And if we find out that Dormady outruns Jones? But Sheriron passes better? How does that affect your paradigm? If you say that makes Sheriron the clear cut choice then the converse should be true for Dormady. :loco:

So the consensus is that Jarrett has the tools to be elite, but needs to work on his touch when passing?

Yep. One thing he doesn't get to showcase is his legs and playmaking ability on the run which is a huge advantage he has over some of the others. that big cannon of his will come in handy when he is scrambling and his WR has plenty of time to get behind defender. In this 7 on 7 event there is a sack timer that doesn't give WRs enough time to get downfield unless they are not contested.

I think they sat Jarrett out today after more struggles and played Malik Henry and now there in the championship game

Only gave him one drive and he went 3 and out. Apparently each team is sticking to one guy. Eason just now got his first drive. The TX commit has been getting reps over Eason all day. It sounds like each coach plays who they want today instead of switching it up. Eason also went 3 and out.

The way it's setup is such that it encourages the coach of each team to ride whoever's got the hot hand if they want to make it to the 'ship.

Stinks this ended so poorly but how predictive are these events?

Wasn't Riley Ferguson at this thing a few years back?

He and Dobbs both were.

Dobbs ended up like #5 or so and in the E11, while Ferguson barely missed the E11 and competed all week with a broken finger.

Was Patterson even in the top 3 after any of the days? What a joke.

Same thing happened Dobbs' and Ferguson's year...Woullard pops out of nowhere for the MVP. This year it looks like Eason was way down the list and made a "miraculous" comeback to finish near the top. :shades:

That's okay, that's not football. None of this is. I'll reserve judgment for his senior season where he is playing with 11 of his own guys he actually knows the names of.

Truth. Whole different ballgame with the pads on, 11 on 11, scrambling is allowed, and your playing with people you've practiced with, etc.

I've never really put a whole lot of stock into the Elite11. It's a good thing that JG made it in, but when you look at it's history, it averages only about 3~5 of the 11 getting drafted. A bunch of the guys never really did much in college either. It's no guarantee of future success.
