Same thing happened Dobbs' and Ferguson's year...Woullard pops out of nowhere for the MVP. This year it looks like Eason was way down the list and made a "miraculous" comeback to finish near the top. :shades:

After listing Patterson as the MVP, the rest are in alphabetical order, so we don't know where they ranked everyone else.

Wouldn't trade JG for any of the others. Would you all?

Nope. He is a great fit for our offense and any offense really.

He's tall. He is a leader, and his athletic ability is rare.
His arm is as talented as they come.

I still think he is a future 5 star.

If not a 5* then a future SEC Champion. I think I like that better anyway.

I would have agreed with you just a few months ago. But the more I watch Dormady the more I think he pushes hard for playing time. Dobbs is one of the best QB's in the SEC right now. And the skill-set that he has really promotes our motion, read-option aspect of our offense. But we have to get those defenders out of the box. That happens with good play-calling in quick pass completions. Our Wr's have to win 1 on 1 bttles more often.

A couple of things on JG - who I have not forgotten is just an upcoming HS senior.
- throws at one speed. Defenses worth their salt can key on that and disrupt or offense pretty easily. He can be coached to have more touch and change-up throws from different platforms.
- Needs quicker feet in his drop. Ive see this in his tape and it's still an issue at The Opening event. Dormady has quicker feet than him in his drop back. This can be coached as well.

Outside of that, we have a big strong athletic QB that can really chew up yardage quickly- through the air and on the ground. Dude can probably throw it 70 yards. He's a phenom.

QB battle will take place with JG as a second year player. Won't be true freshmen battling upperclassmen.

Yeah Eric Berry in particular...... Dude was the most feared DB in SEC history. 5 star prospect that was better than the billing.
Magic when he had the ball in his hands. Had to remind myself to breathe on some of his int's, seemed like he ran around for days.

Did you guys see him in the Opening? played spectacularly average.

As stated earlier, remember when Jeff Driskel was amazing in the UA game? A week to throw to receivers you've never played with doesn't mean a damn bit of anything. We have a PERFECT QB for this system. Let him get on campus first, then judge

What kind of paradoxical nonsense is this?

Guarantano struggled with overthrows near the end but I think he'll get that 5th star and be every bit the player at Tennessee that he's expected to be in this thread. I wouldn't trade another class of '16 QB for him. Not Eason, not Patterson, not anybody....
