“I love all the facilities, and everyone is like a family. Everybody’s welcoming,” I was hoping I would get (an offer from Tennessee). … I loved everything. There wasn’t any certain thing that stood out. Everything was just amazing.”

“The whole trip home, (Phillips) was (recruiting me),” said Anderson, who added an offer from LSU on Thursday and also holds early offers from UCLA, Washington and Boise State, among others. “He was like, ‘Bro, commit. We’re going to be so cold. There’s a lot of recruits (coming in) and everything.’ They both wanted me to come (to Tennessee).”

“I’m just open to everybody, trying to see what’s going to happen with the process,” he said. “I might make an early decision, but it might be next year, too.”

- 247 (Callahan)

BTW, Anderson is 94 4* on 247 Sports, and he's currently ranked the #88 player overall in the nation for 2016 (and the #15 WR nationally).

Committed to LSU
LSU landed its third commitment for the 2016 class on Thursday as four-star receiver Dee Anderson gave Les Miles his verbal pledge.
“I committed to LSU because it was the perfect fit for me,” Anderson told 247Sports Recruiting Insider Justin Hopkins. “From the offense to the way they use receivers to the engineering program. It was a great fit.”
The 6-foot-4, 177-pounder from West Mesquite (Texas) Mesquite picked up an offer from the Tigers at the July Camp and he also had offers from Tennessee, UCLA, Wake Forest, Washington, and several others.
“Georgia was the biggest threat but I’m a Tiger,” said Anderson. “I love LSU.”
Anderson is the No. 15 receiver in the country according to 247Sports and is ranked No. 88 overall in the country.
With Anderson’s pledge, LSU moved up to No. 6 in the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rakings.

One other player we're watching for that weekend is Texas wide receiver Dee Anderson. The tall wideout from DeSoto, Texas, has been to campus before, the summer of 2014 for a camp, but has long been an LSU commitment. Despite that 14-month commitment to the Tigers, Anderson has been looking to take some visits this fall and could be in Knoxville next weekend. Credit Zach Azzanni for continuing to pursue him despite his commitment.

“And, like I said about Tennessee, they’re a big family out there, too.”

He said he was particularly impressed by, “for sure, the facilities” at Tennessee.

The Vols “really never stopped” recruiting him after he committed to LSU, he said, but Azzanni recently has been in contact with him “more than usual” in hopes of getting him back on campus.

“(Azzanni) said my class is a big class, and, no matter what, he’s going to need some of my class, too,” Anderson said.

Anderson said Azzanni has been hoping to “get me and Mom to come up there so she can check it out, because I’ve been up there already.” Anderson said he’s not sure yet whether his mother will accompany him on the trip to Tennessee, adding that “it’s up to her.”

He said he’s hoping to learn more about “the academics and all that, for sure,” while he’s at Tennessee this weekend. He admitted he hasn’t followed the Vols closely this season, and he doesn’t know much about how they have played.

As he prepares to explore some of his other options, he said he plans to take a close look at “the coaching staff, the environment around the school” and “the academics” at each school he visits.

Also, said he’s still giving the Vols “legitimate consideration” despite having been committed to the Tigers since August 2014.

“I just stayed interested in them. From the time I came up there, I’ve just stayed interested,” said Anderson, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 128 overall prospect and No. 23 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite for the 2016 class.

“(I liked) just hanging out with the players. Everything’s a family up there, too, and I just see how they help their receivers out, like (wide receivers coach Zach) Azzanni.”

Dee Anderson - Anderson has been to Tennessee before, albeit 16 months ago and before his commitment to LSU. Anderson seems destined to take all five official visits before he enrolls early in December. Tennessee could get him to think about his choice this weekend but unless LSU is planning on looking elsewhere for receivers this one looks like it will be hard to flip.
