17-55....

Yes, because getting fouled while your attempting a shot doesn't effect your ability to hit the shot -- and the refs helping one team get up by 15 doesn't alter the other team's gameplan or shot selection. And when you get pushed in the back trying to get an offensive rebound, that has no effect on your ability to get an easy put-back and improve that shooting percentage.

LMAO. Each small part of the game of basketball is played in a vacuum. No part has any influence on any other.

Thanks -- at least we got one thing to laugh about today.

you might want to specify what your numbers are before you start a thread about them buddy

UT scored 45 points today...shot 30.9% from the field (17-55) and 2-15 from three point land.

Did the refs miss some calls? Yes. Were they the reason we lost by 29? Absolutely not.

Cousins missed like 10 free throws so it should have been worse.

It's UT's field goals attempted and made. They shot 30.9% overall today.

And UK shot exactly twice as many free throws as UT (15 to 30)

Unfortunate sentence structure

This stat would have more significance if it reflected shots without contact from a defender. Unfortunately, it doesn't. Our 3 pt shooting is a different story, because well... We just can't shoot 3's. But when Chism's headband is getting catapulted off his head and no call is made, I'm probably not going to pay much attention to our FG %.

It would have been nice to have a fairly called game. Fair on both sides. I have no idea what the outcome would have been in that kind of game. Anything else is only speculation, in my opinion.

It will also be nice to watch KY have to play in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament without Tony Greene, Doug Sirmons, Tom Eades, or the other ref who called the game today. I think KY is the first #1 to get bounced.

I will be very surprised if UT and Vandy aren't playing basketball longer this season than KY and Duke.

Now that's crazy-talk.

Give me a break, man. UK was just much, much better than us today. You don't lose by 30 and ***** about the officiating without looking ridiculous.

Games like this are complicated, and it's impossible to pinpoint what went wrong. It was basically a home game for UK, the officiating WAS somewhat one-sided (no matter what UK fans say), and we weren't mentally capable of overcoming the officiating. Had this been a neutral court, I think we still would have lost because of our poor 3 point shooting. But then again, Chism and Williams could have had the chance to score inside without fear of being molested. UK has better outside shooting, but we have more guys that can drive the lane. UK is better at guarding the perimeter, but we are better at defending under the basket. But all that goes out the window with bad officiating. We couldn't get rebounds because we were timid, not wanting to get called for a foul. Cousins didn't have to worry about that, obviously, since his 1st foul came halfway through the 2nd. I'm fairly certain this won't be the case as soon as UK has a game, with non-sec refs, against a disciplined team that shoots well. Wildcats are gonna have extra money to drown their sorrows with Makers Mark, rather than scraping up cash to buy celebratory Kentucky Deluxe because they aren't gonna be in the final 4.

when u are agressive and continue to drive to the basket ,you shoot freethrows.when u pass the ball around the perimiter for 25 sec and then toss up a 3 YOU dont...poor gameplan
