"Terrance Lang showed up unannounced on Tennessees campus Monday and that was a nice surprise for the Vols given Lang is a big-time defensive end out of California with offers from Southern Cal, UCLA, Oregon, Texas A&M and more.
I was visiting some friends of mine in Georgia, Lang begins, and I had been spending the week in Georgia and a friend said he was going to a camp in Tennessee and he said he was at the University of Tennessee and I was like, Im just going to tag along with you.
It was crazy.I didnt plan on taking any visits or anything while I was in Georgia and I was going to take them when I got back but I ended up taking one (Monday), Lang said. Now that I have an offer they are definitely more of an option. Before this, I had only talked to coach Day a couple of times on the phone."
Its different. I liked it, though. It was different from where I live out in Cali, Lang explained. Everyone was cool on campus and since I showed up unannounced nothing was prepared so I feel like I got to see the real in everyone and what its like on a day-to-day basis and I really enjoyed it.
The weather was different and then watching the players were helping run the camp and they were telling me about how game days are and practices. I went to the Thornton Center and talked to the academic tutors and it seemed like everyone was there for you and it seemed like a family there. I liked it.
