His dad was Jerry Drake Sr. (obviously) played DT in the NFL for the Az. Cardinals and a very good friend of mine. I will do what I can if we get in on him.

KY. offered today do not know what we do not like on this kid. Great GPA, 6 ft 7 and 311 pounds and NFL blood lines from dad. That's three SEC offers.

I think we'll be very selective at OT in the '17 class. We just took 3 OTs that the staff seems to feel really good about, so I'm guessing we only take one or two in 2017. Trey Smith is obviously priority #1. That may be why we're not going after this kid as hard as other programs.

Three-star senior offensive lineman Jerry Drake Jr. of Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) High School posted on his Twitter account Thursday that he received a scholarship offer from Tennessee.

"Thrilled to get my 19th offer from the Vols!!" he tweeted.

It was the 19th offer for the 6-foot-6, 310-pound Drake, who attended one of the Vols' camps in June. He picked up an offer from South Carolina last week, and he also holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Kentucky and West Virginia, among others.

Drake is ranked the nation's No. 688 overall prospect and No. 71 offensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite for the 2017 class.

Appears to be a guy that has blown up in the past year based on coaches' evaluations (see his offer list) but is a guy who the recruiting sites have not thoroughly evaluated.
