Has anyone ever definitively heard what happened to that cat? He literally wrote one piece and then was gone

Chris Poole was supposed to be a paid writer here on VN. We got one article and then he was never heard from again. It's rumored that Freak had him assassinated by his crew of robo-mods on sole impulse.

Did this happen in the FF? I have zero knowledge of said happenings. I also stay the f$%@ out of that place except in extreme desperation or when you lazy %$@>s over here are posting slower than I can read :)
