Michael Penix Jr is back. We’ll see if Indiana is able to keep up the momentum it had last year with him behind center, or will Kirk Ferentz have that Iowa train rolling to start off the year.

Also, this is one of only 5 ranked team vs ranked team matchups today…why did it get relegated to the Big Ten Network game this week?

And Indiana already gave up a 56 yard rushing TD 4 plays into the game.

Just got completed outsped.

7-0 Iowa 13:35 left in the 1st quarter.

And on 3rd down the IU WR gets hit in the hands, knocks it into the air, and Iowa intercepts it and returns it for a TD.

14-0 Iowa 12:54 left in the 1st

I’m wondering if it might have had to do with ESPN 2 being filled with the US Open all day.

After that happens, I’d imagine the discussion (unfortunately for these teams) would turn into, “yes, both these teams are ranked, but more people would watch Michigan, etc”

Iowa with this lead is probably going to get too conservative against a team like Indiana.

Could still be a good game if Penix can get comfortable.

Well, never mind. Indiana not ready to play. Iowa seems to know the Indiana play book better than the Hoosier offense.

Iowa is the Vols opposite. Ferentz will be extended until the sun becomes a red giant and engulfs the earth after this game. Just as crazy, but far more optimistic.

ISU and UNI locked in a close game. I worked at ISU for a number of years so I still follow them some. Hope Iowa goes undefeated this year (apart from that 1 game of course), there are great fans all over that state for all 3 teams.

Hey thanks for the undefeated hope (except for the one game lol) I doubt it’ll happen, but it would be nice! Even though they had a tough game today, Campbell and ISU are no joke. That’s going to be a fun one to watch!
