Can someone put a list together of '17 RBs we'll be chasing?

Most intriguing position in next year's class to me because of the possibility of Hurd and Kamara bolting.

The search feature on VN is bulky and rarely effective. I like the idea of consolidating all RBs in one thread and linking their individual VN recruiting thread in the OP. In fact, it wouldnt be a bad idea if all 2017 positions had a thread like that.

Keep an open mind SP.

Our top two recruits right now are probably Cordarrion Richardson (I know I'm probably butchering the name) and Ty Chandler. Both are in state. Richardson is more of the bulky power runner and would add an element we'll need after most likely losing Hurd to the NFL. Chandler seems like more of the all purpose type of back.

Another option will be legacy recruit Chase Hayden, though he's much more lowly ranked and many believe he could be a better fit at slot receiver than RB due to size concerns.


Honestly those are the only names I've paid much attention to. There are probably many other backs the stuff likes and it wouldn't surprise me if the coaches had some other recruits they liked more than the in state kids. IMO Chandler and Richardson would be a stellar duo if we could sell them on coming in together.

If they like someone better than Cordarrian i'd love to see that film.. btw i admit those are the only 2 i've paid attention to as well

Glitch usually does an excellent job with the 'XX Current Commits/Targets thread that lists the players we are targeting for each position group. No need to create 25 Threads for each position group.

I hope the coaches take a look at Javon Leake out of Greensboro, NC.

Very good prospect.

Watched Richardson's Memphis Trezevant team play in the state title game. He ran for 350 yards in the Championship Game. Really big kid with good straight-line speed.

Agree, I am an assistant coach at Marion Co. and we played Trezevant for the Tennessee State Title ..Richardson was a beast ! Great Character and Very Classy.. this guy is very good.

I like Richardson and Trey Sermon. RB recruiting should be easy after the 15 season, the rushing numbers we should put up next year, and both RBs skipping senior year to go pro.

Richardson and Chandler are both at the top of our list, but we will have to get past UGA/AU on CR and Ole Miss on Chandler.

The RB at East Ridge is good also.

you're boys played great I thought, would've been champs if not for a phenomenal player taking over in the 4th, his size started to wear on them looked like to me

I'm a childhood friends of Trezavant coach and talk bout Cord all the time to him, but he blows me off lol, he has had big time coaches showing up from Fla St to Ole Miss, coach G is on him hard and I like I've said in the past he has a great relationship with Coach White because of their frat. We need him here and hope we get the kid. I hate we missed out on Dillion Mitchell.
