Per his coach, Hilton Head (S.C.) 2017 athlete Tyler Hamilton picked up an offer from Tennessee today. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound rising sophomore also has offers from Ohio and Toledo, and his coach expects to get one from Purdue soon as well. As a freshman, Hamilton had 65 carries for 310 yards and two touchdowns, as well as 14 catches for 143 yards.

Nice to see a recruit from HHI, not to forget that this is South Carolina territory.

Interesting to see what kind of size this kid will put on over the years

Is this the same high school as Poona? Didn't his coach have a connection to Butch?

I'm thinking he was a high school coach in Ohio, and Butch had built a solid relationship with him....

Anyone know the scoop, or anyone ClosetoTyler?

Also, 2017 wide receiver Tyler Hamilton from Hilton Head, S.C., is really high on the Vols. He said they see him as the next Pig Howard.

This is from an ESPN article on 4/13.

Tyler Hamilton – The junior to be with 10.8 100-meter speed has an impressive offer list that includes Tennessee, Missouri, Texas, West Virginia, Arizona, Purdue and Wake Forest among others. The Volunteers are the heavy favorite and could be in line for a commitment when Hamilton makes his next trip to Knoxville with his parents in tow. That will be a very key visit in Hamilton’s recruitment with the understanding that a visit to Austin to see Texas and a stop in West Virginia are also likely this summer.
