The win helped give confidence to some that wanted to see the Vols' program under Butch Jones take the next step and that's fair to say about Trey Smith. The big-time offensive linemen will see Tennessee in at least one more game, when he visits for the Alabama contest, and then at a later date for his official visit.
Things are setting up nicely for the Vols at this point as he's likely to make his decision on Dec. 6. Right now he has an official visit set up for the weekend of Nov. 19 to Notre Dame and with the Vols at Vanderbilt the last weekend of the season and the SEC Championship the next weekend, it could end up being during the weekend of either Tennessee Tech (homecoming) or Kentucky.
If the Vols don't make the SEC Championship Game look for that weekend to become an option as well.
