'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

His sister is a UT alum and more than qualified for her job. She'll be here as long as she wants... and hopefully, Trey will want to be a Vol, too. But that Bama game was a bad look.

Take the orange glasses off for a minute and you would absolutely send your kid to Bama if they wanted him.

Regardless Trey is a Vol.

Then why even try to sign anybody Scammer might want? I mean we might as well go tits up and quit playing big boy football. We would kill it in C-USA.

I want him in orange badly. But honestly, I wouldnt be shocked if he picked Bama over us. Bama puts OL in the NFL on a regular basis and wins championships. Regardless of what some might think, stuff like that matters to recruits.

Bama puts OL in the NFL because they recruit the best OL to begin with. We will soon be putting players in the NFL again too.

SOON.

Was just talking about this with my Bama friend. Unfortunate, I know. But I was basically telling him for how filthy dominant Alabama is in CFB, you'd think they have more pro bowl caliber players.

Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Ingram (but very inconsistent), Hightower, CJ Mosley, and who else that is a week by week starter/impact player?......

Bama has been dominating CFB now for almost a decade. Their players are vastly underwhelming in the NFL, makes you wonder 🤐🐸☕️

Most linemen in the league were not blue chip recruits. Fact.

Same can be said for most positions. It's a numbers game. Most of bama's recruits are blue chippers so if they are putting them in the NFL then they were some of the best coming out of high school. And for the most part they aren't exactly lighting it up in the league either.

Eddie Lacy, Marcell Dareus, Cyrus Kouandijo, Landon Collins, Andre Smith (inj), Dre Kirkpatrick, HaHa Clinton-Dix, Ryan Kelly, Mark Barron, Donta Hightower, DJ Fluker, Jarran Reed, Jalston Fowler, Rashad Johnson

All every week starters in the NFL. A couple are among the best at their positions in the NFL. A couple are starting/started as rookies.

At one point we had one of the best in the NFL at:

QB (Manning)
RB (Foster)
TE (Witten)
S (Berry)

And then im.not sure how you judge/rank punters , but Dustin Colquitt is good.

Also Mayo around that time was ranked as one of the top 100 overall NFL players, too. So he would have been high up on the LB list.

We also had 2 of the top 3 D Tackles in the league.
