Just saw a video of this kid. Does anyone know if we have any interest?

Video said he threw for over 2K yards and ran for over 800. Twenty something TDs and only 6 picks. Looks like a great fit for the spread.

Plays at Bradley. Very athletic family. One relative played b ball at FSU and his sister is a basketball player at Florida. He is a great basketball player who already has a Belmont offer I believe but loves football. Some SEC schools have shown interest for football but no official offers. I do believe he will get some. Miss State has shown some interest as well. Has an older brother playing D2 basketball at Lee University. Excellent player but not sure how interested UT would be but maybe should be.

I don't think so but he is quite the ATH
We could recruit him there. He just hit a sick 3 pointer vs Cleveland to help Bradley beat them in 4 OTs!! His whole family is very athletic. Sister plays for the Gators BB team (yuk!)

While running the Bears' offense, Copeland completed 184 passes out of 298 attempts for 2,451 yards with a completion rate of 64 percent. The strong-armed QB found the end zone 25 times through the air and was picked off only six times.

The 6-foot-3 junior was also a serious threat on the ground when he tucked the ball and ran. Copeland carried 203 times for 862 yards averaging just over four yards per touch with 14 TDs. Bears head coach Damon Floyd has confidence enough in his field general to give him sole control of the offensive unit even to the point where he has the go to make checks at the line of scrimmage when he recognizes defensive formations.

“He, along with the rest of his family, are the ultimate competitors. I said before last season I wouldn't trade him for any quarterback in the nation,”said Floyd. “The sky is the limit for Cole. He has all the tools necessary to get him as far as he wants to go.”

The Bradley offensive star is being seriously recruited by Mississippi State, East Carolina, Temple and numerous Football Championship Subdivision schools.

Copeland is also an outstanding basketball player who's averaging 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.

Clark, the basketball guy, has been taking phone calls from coaches in the Sun Belt Conference as well as leagues with more notoriety inquiring about Copeland. Clark said that with a solid summer of improvement Copeland could land any number of scholarship offers.

Football coach Damon Floyd said the same thing about Copeland's potential for strapping on a helmet during his college days.

"His options are really wide open, because a lot of schools at different levels are still interested in him," Floyd said. "Marshall, Memphis, Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay, Virginia Tech — a lot of schools want to see him in person."

After the video, offer him at QB and if it doesn't work move him to safety. Same high school as Chris White, he's a shoe in all-American there.

Picked off twice by Gentry Bonds in the playoff game. Thought he had a good arm. Multiple SEC schools were in attendance that night along with a couple of ACC looking at him.

How many yards did Carpenter have against Bonds in that game?

Had a bunch. Not sure Gentry was paired up with him the entire game.

Gentry had his best game of the year that night. Made a ton a tackles, broke on the ball, and just looked great.

Buddy of mine came over from Cleveland to watch Jr. I told him about Bonds. After the game he said I sold him short. Said he's a baller.

Of course, Bonds is really good. Carp will be playing baseball at Lee but could've played football at Kentucky but loves baseball. Really good athlete as well. Will be interesting to see how things develop for Copeland. Hopefully Bonds will be a Vol.

It was amazing how small BC was on the OL. Copeland is mobile and can throw on the move. Crazy offense. No RB in the backfield the entire game.

I like Copeland as much or more than some of the other 2017 QB prospects we're recruiting. Outstanding athlete who, on the heels of being a Mr. Football semifinalist, was named to the TSWA AAA all-state basketball team last month (averaged 20.9 points & 11.6 rebounds per game). Looks like he's gotten UT's attention...

Copeland is 15 pounds heavier with added muscle since last season and has scholarship offers from, or is being heavily recruited by, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Appalachian State and Marshall. Tennessee coaches also called Bears coach Damon Floyd recently to request Copeland attend their summer camp so they could evaluate him more.

"The thing I've noticed is when coaches actually see him in person, they're a lot more impressed with his arm strength and his athleticism," Floyd said. "He's faster and stronger in person than he looks on film, and he's picked up a lot more zip on his throws with his strength."

His junior season highlights look really good. He displays very good accuracy and touch along with a strong arm. I'm looking forward to hearing how his senior year goes.

He is an athletic beast. BC is loaded this year. They should have a very good year as should Copeland.

I agree. They would have made some noise in the playoffs if they had any sort of running game. Despite Copeland being so good, they were way too one dimensional. Just an average run game would work. They were legit 5 wide all but about five plays against riverdale.
