Looks like he's high on a lot of teams. Is he leaning towards any particular school?

Seems like we're really going hard for a lot of Cali kids. I hope we land a few of them.

Do you think that is because the SEC recruits so heavily in the southeast and somewhat northeast? I'd think most kids from SEC country already have strong relationships with established staffs, where as Helton has relationships farther West and may offer kids the opportunity to now play in the SEC. Seems possible

I hope they get some CA kids. Georgia will be tougher to recruit now that Smart is winning and we seem to only pick up 2nd level recruits from FL.

Fulmer used to pluck Cali kids frequently.

It is because the new OC was a Southern California Assistant Coach and is totally familiar with the recruiting landscape in California and all the players to recruit. He and Pruitt are offering everyone in sight that has not signed and who they believe can help. Also,Brian Niedermeyer ( was at Bama ) had California as his territory when at Bama and was sent out there by Pruitt for the whole week after he was hired to recruit folks in California and the far west like our new TE signee Anderson.

I believe we have a real good shot at signing CB Olaijah Griffin and WR/S/CB Nikko Hall.Griffin has relatives who live in Chattanooga and they joined him on his official visit and Hall played for Casey Clausen in High school .

Those 2.....plus Taylor.....plus the #1 ranked JUCO TE we snatched up = a very talented and explosive choice of weapons for JG or Shrout to use. Not to mention the few yrs of Callaway we still have left. Our Offense is looking better and better after every commit that jumps on board. Even the OLine isn't looking like such a weakness going forward. Our 2 weakest position groups (in my opinion) were the OLine of course, and the WR group. With Byrd going to switch to DB possibly, and with JJ not guaranteed to get to come back.......besides Callaway, there isn't much "above average" talent from our WRs. Palmer is decent, but hell, Byrd was better than Palmer. Pruitt is possibly gonna shore it up in his 1st class. Already got Taylor and the JUCO TE.....now for Copeland and Olave to complete the core. This could be very nice. Very nice

Linebacker is a MASSIVE concern.

But you're right get Copeland & Olave to go with already signed weapons.... and you have competition for snaps at Tennessee again
