That's exactly what he made it sound like, too...a foregone conclusion. He is also a former athlete of that school, so I'm guessing he converses with people who know things.

I assure you I'm not connected. I love high school football, live in Cartersville, and attend a handful of games each year. The rumors I always hear point to UT as well...

I have a good feeling UTJoe is someone in the know. He only posts stats though....

I am no talent evaluator, just a fan who has taken more than his fair share of interest in high school football (in no small part thanks to this board), but he looks as natural a quarterback that I've seen in high school (and even some college).

It appears he can make all the throws and, maybe even more impressively for a sophomore, really good decisions most of the time.

He isn't the runner he thinks he is, but still very ok for this level.

The kid is a real talent.

Yes sir. The defense is very good, and overshadowed a lot by the offense I think. Teams just don't really score a lot.

I'm really surprised Reed hasn't gotten more attention, too. I think the line benefits from Reed's play as well as Whitfield and Coaxum (sp?) on the back end.

Not sure of the team's overall depth, but their 1's can play with any high school team I've seen.

I wonder if Reed has bad grades? He should have lower level power 5 schools offering him. He's in on almost every play it seems. Doesn't have prototypical middle linebacker measureables, but he is a good player. Only thing I can think of is perhaps scouts see C'Ville as a system defense. Where the D line just takes out the O line leaving the Middle linebacker to make all the plays. Coach King has them playing good assignment football

I think he fits our offense just fine. He is a much better passer than Dobbs but does not run as well. Being a better passer will open up the defense and allow our running backs to have even better stats and the passing game will flourish.
