Junior Day this weekend...

The four-star prospect from Ohio is one of the highest profile names to be in town Saturday for the Vols' junior day. Taylor is a tight end and a defensive end prospect who was at one time committed to Michigan. Taylor has Notre Dame high on his list and is very interested in seeing the Vols. At 6-5, 240 pounds, Taylor is a prospect that is high on the Vols.

Was at OCD...

THE SKINNY — Saturday was Taylor’s first trip to Tennessee. He confirmed the Vols are recruiting him as a DE, while some schools see him as a dynamic TE.

Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Wisconsin are hot on him right now. Taylor is open to playing either position, just wants to find the best school fit first. He loves coach Brady Hoke and the ALL CAPS TEXTING.

“That’s my dude,” Taylor said. “He just kept taking about the orange and I wanted to see what the orange was about. I’ll be back for sure.”

This was a good surprise. I didn't know he was coming. But, apparently he is a big-time player. I have to check out his highlights, 2night and give u all my thoughts. Whether u all want me to or not

You're a good poster. Please share your thoughts. :hi:

All right, I watched his highlights. He is a tremendous athlete. On defense, he appeared to me, to be a great run stopper. On offense, he is a very good blocker with decent hands. He also, played a little wildcat QB. In his highlights, I saw him catch, run and throw for TDs, along with an interception return for a TD. Imo, in college, he will end up being a run stopping DE or possibly, even a DT.

Yes, I know I named every possibility, didn't I. Anyway, the kid is a very versatile athlete, which UT would be happy to get, imo. Glad, UT got him down here for OCD

Fwiw, he was committed to mich a while back and decommited. Folks claim it was mutual and that harbaugh isn't after him anymore (don't know for sure).

Also, osu isn't "pursuing" him any more. They seem to be going through the motions with him because he has an "offer". Just lots of kids higher on their board to take a kid that doesn't really excel at a position. Lots of smoke about uk a few months ago but this is the first I have heard about him in a couple months.

Who knows, maybe osu circles back around and tries again if they miss on a TE or DE.

Cool. We'll take him then.

I'll keep y'all updated he plays in the same league as the high school I teach at... I'll say this when he wants he can be dominant but takes a bunch of plays off imo. Their team should have a great year this year in one of the toughest leagues in Ohio.
