#38th ranked DE(weak-side) & #749th ranked recruit overall in the 2018 class.

Evaluation

Collins is a long, athletic defensive end. He is a dynamic player off the edge. Collins is disruptive and an effective pass rusher. He also changes directions well, is great in pursuit and closes quickly on the football. He must continue to get stronger, add weight and refine his technique, but Collins has all the tools to be a big-time college player.

The home of Bobby Ross! Needs a lot of weight, he's about 195. His father is a coach I believe. Athletic youngster, I imagine he will visit.

Well, what you think is incredibly important to me. It's nice to have a guy with hurt feelings to interpret posts for the rest of us. What a treasure.

Hurt feelings? Now you're just being emotional. That doesn't usually end well for a guy with 127 posts to his name, in which you've been combative a lot. Ask Tony Bologna. Why not just stop taking yourself so seriously, and you'll get along with a lot more people.

I'm offering that as some friendly advice as someone who has been posting here for almost 8 years. Take it as you will.

So, you just repeat things. ParrotVol, is that you? I reply to someone about something I know, you get involved because? You're in your emotions. You dance in irony, you've taken yourself far too seriously. I was talking about a prospect, you get personal. That's emotional. I'm duly impressed by your post count.

My uncle coached in that area for the last half a decade, I know who the kid is, so I replied about the kid. Stick to the football, read, learn, find your humility and go Vols. 👌

I got personal??? How? By pointing out that a post was made as a joke that apparently flew miles over your head?

Talk about irony.

Freak, we need an IP address check on Aisle 4. Tony has created a new screen name.

By needing to guess that his post was a joke. You needed to attempt to correct me, over something meaningless, because you're deep in your feelings. Of course, it wasn't a joke, the guy was simply stating that he's light in the arse no matter if he's 195 or 215.

Look at all of those question marks, that's emotion. Your heart is pumping and hands are shaking over my posts on volnation. Take a lap, or xanax. You're hitting the estrogen a bit hard this morning.

So, you win?

Richmond (Va.) Benedictine School has churned out some big time prospects over the last few years and Chris Collins is the next in line. The defensive end has a lengthy offer sheet but four are near the top of his list with a decision around the corner.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

“Right now I'm looking to making a commitment in May or June,” Collins said. “I don't think I'll come out with a list of top schools. I'm taking Louisville, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee very seriously. It would be fair to call them my top four. I like that I'll have the opportunity to win at these schools and I have a great relationship with my position coach at each school. I know they're going to push me to get better every day.

“I just took a bunch of visits," he said. "I went to North Carolina, Louisville, Virginia, and Boston College during my spring break. I'm just focused on these next camps I have and competing.”

RIVALS’ REACTION

Collins’ moves over the next couple weeks could be very impactful when it comes to his commitment. He has been doing plenty of research and it has been a long recruitment for him. Look for Louisville, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee to make strong pushes through the end of this evaluation period.

Three-star defensive end Chris Collins of Richmond, Va., said Tennessee is one of four schools standing out to him, along with North Carolina, Louisville and Pittsburgh, after the Vols extended an offer to him less than three weeks ago. He said he’s hoping to announce his college choice by late May or early June, and while he hasn’t visited Tennessee’s campus, he’s hoping to make it there sometime this month before making his choice. While he’s not all that familiar with the Vols at this point, he said he has watched former Tennessee defensive end Derek Barnett over the past couple of years and likes the way Barnett plays. North Carolina appears to be the current favorite to land Collins.
