MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alabama All-Star defensive end Brandon Mack is committed at the Power 5 level, but he is among the few seniors in that position among the all-stars not looking to sign in December. It's because several additional programs remain in the mix for his signature.

"I'm signing in February," he said at check-in for the 32nd annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. "I'm still talking to Ole Miss, Missouri, Nebraska and Tennessee. I've taken three official visits already and have one booked for Ole Miss at the end of January, the 25th.

"The last visit will be out of Nebraska, Louisville and Tennessee. Tennessee hasn't offered but they came to see me to see if I was really 6-4, so he will go back and get with (Jeremy) Pruitt."

Pittsburgh has held the Montgomery (Ala.) Carver defensive end's commitment since a summer official visit in June. The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder remains on board with the Panthers but acknowledge the race for his services is far from over.

Assembled media asked if the Panther staff should worry about the verbal pledge before he expanded on the allure of potentially playing SEC football.

"Yea," he said. "Pitt is still fighting, they're trying to hold on. SEC is the best competition, hardest conference to play in but at the same time the ACC is Power 5 and it's already great competition."

Thats a big dude. I guess he was down the list since we haven't been really pushing to get him.

Vols in Green Bay Packers colors just doesn't look right.
School was created in the late 1960’s when Bart Starr, a Montgomery native, was in his prime. A certain college team was also doing very well at the time and they adapted the Volunteers as their nickname.
