I like the recruiting of these California quarterbacks. west coast gunslingers.... with southern speed and size running backs & receivers deadly combo.

Solid looking film. I say wait for Cal to get him committed, then steal him. :)

Another pro style qb. I think there will be some transfers next year if not this year.

Rivals lists him as #4 Dual threat QB. I think Dobbs was listed same way, dual on one site and pro style on another.

I think I remember that. Looking back, it's kind of funny that anyone would classify somebody with wheels like Dobbs as anything other than dual threat.

This one runs well as a DT, but he is a natural mobile pro style. Needs to just keep growing. Has a live arm, good touch, solid footwork, very athletic.

....speechless, I got nothin

Pretty sure the term he was looking for is 'pompadour' rather than comb-over. Young Hank does sport a fairly righteous pompadour, and let's face it, that is the proper hairstyle for a man named Hank.

Class of 2019 quarterback Hank Bachmeier got his first offer as a high school freshman, so he's no stranger to the recruiting game, but these days the 4-star prospect is seeing his offer list grow almost daily. One of his most recent offers came from Tennessee. An offer that Bachmeier says is intriguing.

“Coach (Tyson) Helton is the one that offered me,” Bachmeier said. "I know coach Pruitt's resume as a coach. I know coach Helton being from USC and I know his offense. He tells me that is what he is going to do at Tennessee. I also have a connection to Tennessee. My offensive coordinator actually coached Sheriron Jones when he was in high school and even though it didn't work out on the field, Jones loved it there.”

“To be honest, I would like to know more about the school,” Bachmeier admitted. “Distance is not a concern. It's really what is going to be the best fit for me. It doesn't matter to me. It's just a feeling.”

After receiving his offer a week before Christmas, Bachmeier has continued to have dialouge with Helton. “I talked to him on the phone a week before Christmas,” Bachmeier said. “We have swapped some texts and I have kept in contact with him. Coach Helton is coming to see me in the spring and wants me to come see him in the summer. “I would like to go visit Tennessee.”

Bachmeier's plan is to have a decision made before the start of his senior season in August, but he doesn't know his plan to get to that choice at this point. “I have no idea. It's a really big decision,” Bachmeier said. “When the school is right and I have a great feeling. I will make that decision. It will be made before my senior season. “I haven't dived into what I'm going to do yet. Over the holidays, I have just been relaxing with family and friends.”

As for what school is right, Bachmeier said it just comes down to comfort. “You want to be wanted. You want someone that wants you and makes you feel comfortable. You want a place where you are going to enjoy yourself. You are going to have to compete where ever you go. I don't want to choose a place where it's going to be miserable going to school there.”

Initially read his tweet as 10K yards passing for the season then realized it was career. Was about to be like how the hell is that possible

This kid profiles a lot like Sam Darnold, IMO. I watched Bachmeier's SO film and Darnold's high school JR film, and both are similarly athletic (listed as DT QBs in high school). Darnold has a slight size advantage (an inch and 30 lbs perhaps), but Bachmeier looks much more polished as a passer, even as a SO vs Darnold as a JR.

Bachmeier, as a SO, threw for 3900 yrs, 75% completion rate, 47 TDs and only 3 INTs. He also played some solid competition, as he led his team to a win over Oaks Christian and Vista Murrieta an route to a 11-3 record, including a loss to CA powerhouse, San Clemente (Darnold's alma mater).

Did San Clemente have a downyear? I was in California for work and watched them play Rancho RD1 of the playoffs. Wasn't very impressed. Seem like they had a good RB & TE, but Rancho ended up blowing them out.

Finished 9-2 this year. Lost to Mission Viejo (Mark Sanchez's alma mater) and then 28-10 to Rancho Cucamonga in the first round of the playoffs. No real big-time players on that team this year

Breakdown: Several schools are doing their best to woo Bachmeier, who has already taken several visits. Minnesota and coach P.J. Fleck made Bachmeier an early priority and the fact that he’s already visited Minneapolis on his own dime shows just how interested he is in the school. But can the Gophers lure him away from the numerous Pac-12 programs recruiting him? And where does wildcard Tennessee factor in after an offer from the new staff? Bachmeier’s recruitment could take plenty of twists and turns over the next few months.
