“i've been talking to tennessee a lot, especially lately,” said jones. “that’s why they made my top 10. It’s really based off communication and everything. “i really like tennessee a lot.”

“they’ve been pretty consistent (in talking with me) after they offered me and everything, so it’s been good, the communication with them and everything,” said jones, who now holds offers from nearly 30 schools. “tennessee, it’s, like, a couple times out of the week. It’s a lot, though. “i don’t really know much about them. I just really like the school and everything. I’ve been through there a couple times, visiting my family in georgia and everything, so just going up there and seeing it’s pretty cool.”

“basically, they’ve been telling me, ‘you would have an opportunity to come here and play right away,’ really just coming in and working hard and everything,” jones said. “they said i’m an sec type of running back, and i can play wherever i want to. They want it to be tennessee. “tennessee, they were talking about using me in versatile situations — going out as a receiver or running back or anywhere, basically. They said i’m so versatile, they just want to use me a lot.”

“i’ve always dreamed of playing in the sec,” he said. “but we’ll just see however it goes. I haven’t been to any of (the sec schools) just yet, though. I really want to go to all of them, just because (i could) go back home, see my family and then go to the sec schools.”

Great news with this kid and making his top 10. O'Dowd is another Bay Area powerhouse, and this kid would be such an incredible get if we could somehow pull this one off. It's not impossible to build a California pipeline, and certainly coach Helton has relationships on the west coast he can leverage.

I will say this. I honestly like knights film just as good if not better, and wish we’d press for him if we are going to sign one smaller back that can catch out if the backfield or slot
