four-star junior athlete marquis wilson of avon (conn.) old farms school posted thursday afternoon on his twitter account that he received a scholarship offer from tennessee.

“blessed to receive an offer from the university of tennessee #gbo #volsnation,” he tweeted.

The 6-foot, 175-pound wilson holds offers from more than 20 schools, including alabama, florida, michigan, nebraska, ohio state, penn state, kentucky, virginia tech, wisconsin and connecticut.

He’s ranked the no. 287 overall prospect and no. 24 athlete in the industry-generated 247sports composite for the 2019 class.

I wonder how often your average 4* prospects gets called by reporters in a week.

I’m sure some of them eat it up, but for the ones who would rather focus on school, football, or enjoying HS while they can in general I’m sure the whole “no interviews” thing is much more convenient than having to answer texts/calls from reporters at 2/3 recruiting services as well as local papers.
