Class of 2019 linebacker Allen Smith from Loganville, Georgia was on of several Peach State prospects to take in Tennessee last Saturday for Junior Day and left impressed. The 6-3, 205-pound 3-star linebacker said after visiting Rocky Top that the Vols are definitely on his list.
It was great. I loved the facilities. I love coach Pruitt's atmosphere. I loved everything about it, Smith said of his first ever trip to Knoxville. Smith said his day on campus was better than he expected and different from other places. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, Smith offered. I was expecting it to be kind of boring. Most junior days are sort of boring.
According to Smith, the Junior Day was a good mix of fun and football. Coach Pruitt showed us the facilities. We had a photo shoot and got to put on every uniform. They had great food and I got a lot of time to visit with the coaches to talk some ball, Smith explained.
For the Grayson High School prospect, the unofficial visits are getting cranked up. He's likely to be north this Saturday and will be back to see the Vols in a few weeks. I might visit Minnesota this weekend. I plan to be back for a spring practice or the spring game with a couple of my teammates and I hope to be back up here this summer, Smith said.
