What the what is exactly right. Anyone got a clue what's going on here? Are these guys thinking they won't get early playing time or something?
Secking is implying that they are recruiting over them. Making room for other players.

Him decommitting doesn't mean they are losing traction. He is significantly lower than their average recruit so based on percentage alone they will get a better recruit. Not sure we even want this kid. I will admit, the thought of UGA's ship sinking is delightful.

According to UGA, both decommits were no accident and have been known for a couple months. Jadon H. was a surprise. Supposed to be another decommit coming soon as well. Nolan Smith seems to be their "pied piper." Crucial they hang on to him.

They recruited over Jaden Haselwood............ the #1 WR, #3 overall player in the nation?

Making room for Thibodeaux I guess ;)

Something is going on in Athens and it's not good for them... surely all these decommits aren't over the baseball guy slinging racial slurs

Just a stab in the dark, but I think it’s a situation of telling one too many kids that they’ll have immediate playing time. Like I said, I don’t have any info to back this up, but to me it looks like that’s what they promised Fields.

Problem is Fromm hasn’t done anything to warrant being benched, and now Fields has no redshirt opportunity. Also feel like Fields would have bolted UGA had he not got to play this year.

Just me or does Fields not look like a poor man's Hurts?

I feel like Georgia's gameplan won't allow for a good QB to do anything... it's like Saban's old gameplan.... let the defense be great, run the ball... pas to get a first down when you need to with the occasional shot downfield

Field was stupid if he didn't see that coming...I mean did he really believe he was going to unseat Fromm? That is just dumb.

They promised fields and the family everything under the moon: uga brand of networking for jobs (after football is over) to PT. He and his family ate it up. Not saying it was a bad decision overall to choose uga, time will tell though...

Decommitted from UGA
You guys knew this before most Ga fans. As I mentioned in the Haselwood thread on Bertrand, this isn’t a good kid, this is a GREAT kid. He plays everything well, very smart football player and very smart kid. He could go the Ivy or Stanford way if he chooses, Stanford has offered. Wish him nothing but the absolute best success wherever he goes. Not gonna lie, this was one of my favs, he still is, will root for him wherever he goes.

I think secking said the WR was a surprise. He said he was looking for a team that passes more than Georgia.

Yeah, unfortunately these decommits are the very likely the result of staffs evaluating senior film and making adjustments to their boards. (Haslewood not included there) Fairly common thing. It's just noteworthy for uga because basically everyone in their class is a 4-5 star and those decommits seem more noteworthy than a 3 star.

VQ guys have said we'll make some adjustments to our class as well, so i wouldn't be surprised to see a few of our guys tweet out their re-opening their recruitment as well. We could even have more considering this is Pruitts first year here. They said on the VQ podcast that it's likely Pruitt looked at his roster of small guys and incorrectly assumed he at least had speed, but now 4 games in he realizes his team is both small and slow (

). Hence the emphasis on Gray now and the turning away of Knox.

The below is from one of the best recruiting best writers in the game. The jadon decommitment hurts.

other way to see this ......
Since Jalen Perry committed in October of 2017 the Bulldogs have .......
  • Signed 5-star Tyson Campbell
  • Seen that 4-star CB signee Chris Smith II is very much a future SEC contributor
  • Learned that Eric Stokes can be a very good CB in the SEC.
  • Really started working hard on Tyrique Stevenson and Kaiir Elam
  • Signed Divaad Wilson and saw first-hand in spring practice he was good enough to play fast at UGA.
Since J.D. Bertrand committed in July of 2017, the Bulldogs have ...
  • Seen that Monty Rice can be a strong starter at ILB for years to come
  • Signed near 5-star ILB Quay Walker and seen what he can do in fall camp
  • Signed near 5-star ILB Channing Tindall and seen what he can do in fall camp
  • Taken a commitment from the nation's No. 5 LB in Rian Davis
  • Taken a commitment from a Top 100 true inside thumper in Trezman Marshall
  • Continued to pursue 5-star ILB Nakobe Dean to the Nth degree

Copy/paste from dawgnation. This is a poster (not you Otis) to pump sunshine to UGA fans. We haven't "seen what they did in camp," nor is it a concern. We have the facts. Recruiting is fluid and ever changing. UGA has beautiful problems. Hope we join soon.
