Finally! UT going after Polynesians. Back in the (groan) Dooley era I brought up how we should try to recruit some barrel chested Māoli, Māori and Somoan Pacific Islanders the way USC, Utah State, and Oregon do. Responses were between sensible, "They don't want to be that far away from home." To being ridiculed. Now we have a coach who understands if a guy's a player, go after him.

I've known about 10-12 of these guys via college friends and a bowling league. They're freaking strong, friendly unless you really piss them off. And trust me, you don't want to "muck" with them. So I'm happy to see Pruitt do it. Come on over, Maninoa Tufono. The water might not be salty, the fish not as big, but being a warrior you'll have weekly wars. You can be certain the SEC will provide you that.MT5 (@maninoa_tufono) on Twitter

Going to be tough pulling this kid from USC...first cousin LB Palaie Gaoteote signed with USC in the 2018 class. Poly kids are close, if your school isn't a "Poly school", your chances are greatly diminished. USC will have 19 Poly players on the team, they have been the best recruiters to the school.

We need a good down hill ILB. I think Ignont can be that guy going forward. I'd like to see someone with Maninoa's size stepping up to fill his fit.

Did you forget about Daniel Bituli or nah

He’s more of a sideline to sideline guy, he’ll thump you don’t get me wrong. Ingnot has the potential to be that guy that meets the RB at the LOS and punishes him. They could compliment each other very well.
