Right up the road from me. His school is 4A, I think. Not one of the dominant classifications in the state.

Noticed this kid didn't sign today. He's committed to Bama(who signed 5 other DEs). Wonder what the story is? Grade concerns? Just felt like waiting til February? Any chance he might be looking around?

Hopefully he's the odd one out of the 8 defensive end commits they have. Would love to pick up this "scrap" from bama.

I think Young is still a top priority for Bama. Per 247/BOL, Young says his commitment is solid and he's also said he was raised that his word should be his bond. But he's now saying he wants to take OVs, because it was hard do that due to his team making a deep run in the playoffs. Maybe he's worried about competition, maybe not. I haven't seen any indications of that. And with kids from MS , there's the usual speculation rumblings that boosters will pay to keep them in-state. Hard to tell at this point what's truly up with him. Edit: I haven't seen any mention of grades being a concern.

Edit: Bama signed 3 SDEs (DLs) which is Young's position and 2 WDEs (OLBs).

Not much of a mystery, Ish is still on the board.

You are usually pretty neutral, but that is just all BS fluff... SURELY the perfect and honest Bama has not done something to make this kid want to look around... how dare he... you are right, there MUST be something up on HIS part and not BAMA...

Sounds like you know something. What happened?

I'm pretty sure Bama wants both.
Hm, we'll see, my take unless something changes Ish is going East, if that happens not sure what happens with Young. Personally, I kind had hoped LSU would just cut ties with Ish, but that might be reason I would never make it in that type of position.

Then what is it that you were blaming Bama for?

Its just normal recruiting, lots of log jams there as well... the early signing period has just added a little dimension. Alabama could miss on Young, Williams and Ish, but I would say very unlikely. Its a fluid situation, and it depends on how the cards fall. There is a little bit of jockeying coming down to the end on a few players and spots remaining. I know Williams is looking around as he believes he wouldn't be considered next year for playing time for instance.

Not sure why you tagged this onto my post. I was questioning the reason for someone's innuendo against Bama, since he sounded like he knew something.
