Nolan Groulx - Hudl

WR Nolan Groulx committed to Wisconsin in January but announced his decommitment last night. He will be taking plenty of visits down the road but has a lot of interest from Georgia, Tennessee, Stanford, Wake Forest, South Carolina, and Texas A&M.

“I’ve talked to Georgia, Stanford, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Texas A&M, and South Carolina lately,” he said. “I think coach Hankton from Georgia has done a good job checking in on me. Wake Forest has been pushing really hard with their whole coaching staff. That means a lot to me. The same thing with South Carolina. Stanford has been staying in touch a lot too. At Texas A&M, coach Graham and I have a great relationship.

RIVALS’ REACTION…

As for Groulx’s recruitment, schools closer to home seem to have the momentum right now. Georgia has made him a priority and there are a lot of connections between Groulx and Wake Forest and South Carolina. Tennessee is in good position for a lot of Groulx’s teammates and the Vols staff hasn’t been shy about showing their interest in Groulx as well. Those four schools will be the most involved going forward. He doesn’t hold offers from Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M, or Stanford yet but it seems like it’s only a matter of time.

The Elite 11 Charlotte Regional allowed some non-quarterbacks to steal the show, particularly a strong contingent of talent from Grayson High School in Georgia...

Top five on offense

1. Wanya Morris, OT, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson – If not for the performance of his teammate, Morris would have been the alpha from the event. He has one of the better offensive tackle frames you will find with long arms and a wide base. He was rarely tested on the edge where he showed balance and patience in a dominating day. Auburn and Tennessee are favorites.

2. Nolan Groulx, WR, Cornelius (N.C.) Hough – The buzz around the camp was that Groulx was clearly the most effective receiver of the event. At the end of the day he walked away with the WR MVP award due to really precise routes and quickness in and out of his breaks. Wisconsin appears to be getting a good one.
