Top247 junior linebacker/defensive end Brandon Smith of Louisa County High School in Mineral, Va., posted Tuesday night on his Twitter account that he received a scholarship offer from Tennessee.

"Blessed to receive my 10th offer from University of Tennessee #GoVols," he tweeted.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Smith announced less than an hour later that he also had picked up an offer from N.C. State. He also holds offers from Florida State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Duke, Maryland, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Wake Forest and Temple.

19 for '19: Vols early wish list

The Rivals100 defensive end has seen Clemson already and Penn State has been a early school mentioned with the Virginia native. Smith is not planning any unofficial visits until after his basketball season is over. Pruitt and his defensive staff has been pursuing Smith for some time. The challenge now is to get Smith to Rocky Top where the staff has all assembled.
