Wake holds VT to just a FG to make it 20-13, however Wake has already driven back down the field and has it 3rd and goal with 13 minutes left in the game.

Wake then committed an offensive pass interference on a catch at the VT 1 to make it 3rd and goal once again.

VT stuffed the run on 3rd down, but in frustration about not being able to tackle the Wake RB Walker (who’s from Antioch), VT commits a personal foul to give Wake Forest a new first down at the VT 15.

It’s a 3 and out but Wake still gets a FG to make it 23-13 with 11 min left in the game.

Wake comes up with a big sack on 3rd down to force VT to attempt a 51 yard FG. It goes a bit too far to the left (second miss of the day making him 2/4 on the day).

Wake forest has a 10 point lead with a little under 7 min left in the game.

VT ball again. 2nd and 9 at the VT 49 with 4:30 left in the game. Still a 10 point game.

On 4th and 8 VT elects for trying a 54 yard FG. It’s good to make it 23-16 Wake Forest with 2:38 left in the game.

VT only has 1 TO left.

Wake Forest recovers the onside kick. There are flags everywhere but it looks like it’s for a helmet to helmet hit or kick catch interference.

It’s the latter. Gives WF 15 more free yards. So they’re at the VT 39 with a little over 2:31 left.

VT uses its last timeout after the first play.

VT does get the ball back...inside its own 5 with 45 seconds left.

Still a 7 point game though.

And there’s an INT on 3rd and 10 with about 8 seconds left.

Wake is going to upset VT, 23-16.
