It was almost over, but that pick will seal it.

VT is going to win this 36-17 and move to 6-3, Wake - who might have been able to essentially clinch an Orange Bowl spot with 2 of its last 3 games being Duke and Syracuse- will fall to 7-2.

UVA, WF (because let’s be honest, Clemson was going to drum them next week regardless of how the game turns out) and now VT might all in play for the Orange Bowl.

Presuming the rankings are no longer in Wake’s favor after this, they drop all the way from the Orange Bowl to either (A) the Camping World Bowl or (B) - if Notre Dame doesn’t make a NY6 Bowl and jumps into the Camping World Bowl - probably the Belk Bowl in Charlotte so the smaller fan base doesn’t have to travel far.
