As long as we make a deep tourney run, I don't care what we do in the SEC tournament
I bet Barnes and the players don’t feel that way

Only 1 team can win the Natty,

Believe it or not conference titles matter a lot to the teams playing for them and most of the fans

Yeah we all would take a FF over an SECT title but bowing out a game early does not make a difference for “rest”

I’ll find it but on average teams that win their conference tournament go further in the NCAAT

We can agree to disagree. Tired of the VOLS lack of March Madness success. This a great team and a deep tourney run is what could set them apart from other great Vol teams.

I don’t know why you want to bring the NCAAT garbage narrative into this thread.

There’s nothing wrong with riding a 10 game winning streak into the NCAAT.

Losing is for losers. Win another championship. It hasn’t happened in 81 years.

Care way more about regular season. That was a grind

The tourney isn't that important anymore--and IT SHOULDN'T BE. Regular season champ is the legit league champ. Pundits and
NCAA committee don't even pay that much attention to the tourney unless the winner is a team that wasn't expected to make
the tourney, because they recognize that the regular season is the more credible metric and because a lot of P5 teams have
already established whether they're a NCAA team or not. It affects seeding a bit, but the tourney is mostly a waste of time and energy--
the usual money/greed play.

Seeing the fruits of our recent SEC tourney championship pretty much ruined future SEC tourneys for me. Don't get me wrong, winning it was absolutely a top-3 moment for me, and I'm so proud of that team and the hardware. It just didn't really give us anything to help propel us in the next game.

Just speaking for myself, I would be ecstatic if we win it again. I would also not be upset in the least if we didn't win it and go into the NCAA tourney with no injuries.

Same. I want to win but at the same time if we made it Sunday I think that in itself would be a win.

Basilio repeated something about SV, JJJ, JM, JA, and ZZ being the first players to win both an SEC Tournament AND an SEC regular season championship in their careers since 1943.

He’s wrong. Unless he said OUTRIGHT SEC regular season champion. Steve Ray was a freshman on the 1979 SECT championship team and a senior on the 1982 SEC regular season co-championship team.
