Thanks for posting all of these old games.

We were really good pre- HD when a 36" TV was almost square and weighed 250 pounds.

Current TV Technology - Good
Current Vols Performance- Bad

The third quarter of that game was, in my opinion, the best single quarter of football that I have seen Tennessee play in 47 years of Big Orange fandom. Tennessee entered the second half, leading 7-3. At the end of that period, Tennessee had reeled off 28 unanswered points, initiated by Dale Carter's 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Von Reeves hit Carl Pickens in stride on a beautifully thrown 47-yard touchdown pass off of a reverse. Tony Thompson and the Tennessee Valley Authority absolutely gashed Florida with the running game and the defense intercepted two passes, including one returned for a touchdown.

I agree! Who knew Spurrier would take so much offense to this beatdown and torture UT 8 out of the next 11 meetings?

I was at this game and sat in F section. Close game in the first half and total domination by the Vols in the 2nd half. Awesome memory!

Von Reeves had a stronger arm than Andy Kelly...That pass was awesome and that Gator CB Del Speer was French Toast.

Thanks Larry - awesome memory of a great night with my Dad.

Very nice of you to share.

If you have Auburn 1989 that is a good one too :)

I was at that game when Cobb-Webb made its debut in the SEC and Marion "Air" Hobby (DE) swatted several passes down. It rained but I stayed until the end - what a game.

One of my favorite games of all-time that I have attended.

I don't think Florida crossed the 50 in the second half.

Great game...Auburn was the other big rival before realignment.

Kinda ironic how we played Florida in 90 & 91 before the SEC East made us permanent opponents.

Those 89, 90, 91 teams were LOADED with talent

That 1990 schedule was pretty tough

Non-conference:
#5 Colorado & #1 Notre Dame - ended up playing each other for national championship in Orange Bowl...Colorado won 10-9 and won the AP National Championship.

Conference:
#3 Auburn, #9 Florida, Bama, #15 Ole Miss

The 1990 game could have been COMPLETELY different! If the Fla DB that intercepted the first half Hail Mary hadn't tripped over his own feet the score and momentum going into the half would have been totally different.
