No, all I saw was Billy Ratliff driving O'linemen back into Stoerner causing the stumble and fumble. Then I remember T Henry and the O-line taking over.

Billy Ratliffe. What a nice guy. Used to work with him, pretty sure hes still in e tennessee.

one of my all time fav vols. never, ever have i seen him get ill with anyone no matter how much they irritated him, and hes been in the direct line of fire from some ahole customers.

I'll be glad when we can stop watching games from 15 years ago because that is the last time anything good happened to us.

Wow. Just a flashback of the days watching a couple of minutes. And the talent. On D, Goodrich, Lott and Deon Grant in the dbackfield. Raynoch and Al W at lb. Sean Ellis, John Brown, a tough Billy Ratliff on the dl, along with Darwin Walker. Fred Weary, future nfl guard, playing DT. T Henry backing up Jamal Lewis and running behind Cosey Coleman. Chad Clifton on Tee's blindside while he chunks it deep to Peerless, or as he gains necessary yards with his feet.
Seems like 16 or 17 of the 22 starters played pro ball.

Watching Travis Henry run in this game is a reminder of why UT needs to recruit a big, fast running back. Great work by the OF in this game also.

Out of all all 12,640 college football teams who have been ranked between 1869 and 2011, Richard Billingsley still has the '98 Vols listed as the 3rd strongest team of all time (http://www.cfrc.com/Archives/Top_200_2011.htm ). For those of you who may be interested, the only other Tennessee teams on his list of the Top 200 Teams of All Time are the 1938 (110th), 1951 (146th), and 1956 (176th) squads. He has the 1970 Sugar Bowl Champions (11-1) listed as his fifth strongest Tennessee team of all time (Tennessee Volunteers Football Records | College Football Database ).

He also ranks the schedule which the '98 team faced as 4th toughest in Tennessee history. He lists the 2007, 1991, and 1997 schedules, in that order, as the three toughest schedules the Big Orange have ever faced. The schedule played by the 2001 team (which beat Syracuse, LSU, Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame and Michigan) came in 5th toughest ( Tennessee Volunteers Football Records | College Football Database ).

He has a separate listing restricted to ranking all national champions between the same years (http://www.cfrc.com/Archives/NC_Rating_2011.htm ). Again, the 1998 Vols come in 3rd, the 1938 team is 57th, and the 1950 team is 74th.

T. Henry was like a bulldozer on the last drive ...I wish we had another one like him! B. Ratliff would have one of the best ever if he had good knees!
