i've not seen tebow look as bad as he has this game....ever. he doesn't look comfortable at all throwing. both picks were awful and uncharacteristically poor decisions. he's showing pro scouts tonight why everyone says he wont' make it in the NFL as a qb.

OK's defense has come to play. minus a couple of big plays, they've been pretty good up front. i'm surprised at how well their front four is playing. i'm really surprised that FL hasn't been able to go over the top on 'em.

OU's offensive line is pretty darn good. i've been impressed with them so far run blocking, and the pass protection has been as good as advertised.

offensively, OU came out with a good game plan. the hurry up has had FL confused and out of position.

both teams though have been sloppy. the turnovers, and penalties, for both teams have been bad.

FL's defense is the difference though right now. twice stopping OU inside the 10...HUGE.

both teams need to limit mistakes and just execute their offense in the 2nd half.

my gut feeling is that FL is about to wake up offensively. if they do, could be a long 2nd half for OU.

both coaches get to earn their money now.....who makes the right adjustments?

The whole game has been sloppy... it wasn't so much that the officiating/calls were bad, but how many times was play stopped to check something?

yep....twice having to check the game clock by review....pathetic. it's had a very "herky jerky" feel to it.

Kind of ruined, for me anyway, an otherwise pretty good half. Both offenses have 200+ yards, but both defenses have made plays/stops along the way as well, like you said.

Good to see Mr. Kraft at the game. :) I kid Jake, good stuff man. I think Charlie Strong needs to talk to his team and FIND a way to stop OU before the 10 yard line. I agree 100% about Tebow, he just doesn't look right tonight. I hope that changes in the 2nd half.

yep. this game is going to come down to a few plays here and there......FL has already made two in the 1st half.

that 4th down stop and the stop before the half were so big.....at best they should be down 13-7, at worst 21-7....now the come out of the half still tied, and they get the ball to start the 2nd with a chance to take the lead.....

i honestly think OU will need another couple of turnovers....esp if they keep coming away from the red zone with ZERO points....

Just wanted to chime in with some halftime analysis, here.

Leading up to this game, many felt it was important to win the turnover battle, and the special teams battle among other things.

Well, I'll tell you a battle Oklahoma's won tonight: Officiating

First off, anyone watching this game in their right mind would tell you that Oklahoma is celebrating over every little play they make. They stop Florida for a yard loss, they get up and celebrate. They gain 3 yards, they let the fans know it.

Well, if that's the case, then why was Louis Murphy flagged for gesturing first down after that big reception he had? Oklahoma celebrates every down, Florida celebrated once. That's a terrible call.

Secondly, the Chris Rainey run. Rainey has been very important to the UF offense this season, but on the run in which he was hurt, he was tackled by the horsecollar.

Not only that, but he was also kept from getting up by an Oklahoma defender, and in my opinion that led to an injury.

There's also been obvious Oklahoma penalties, like false starts, offsides and holdings... but the flag hasn't been thrown.

Penalties might just win the game for Oklahoma, and that's not how a National Championship is won. This piss-poor officiating needs to cease; let the players play the game, not the officials.

i'll say this as well about the 1st half performances....there's nothing either of these teams did in the 1st half that would convince me they could beat USC.

Better game than I thought....figured Florida would be up by 14 by now.

oh wow...throwing out the "it was the refs' fault" excuse at half time already?

as an impartial viewer, the only play i thought could have gone FL's way and didn't was the Rainey play. that was a horse collar, but as Charles Davis explained it, it did make sense as to why they didn't call it.

and i agree, the unsportsmanlike on Murphy was at best questionable. all i saw was him signal a 1st down...hardly worth 15 yards.

but trust me...the difference in this game is FL's defense inside the 10. not the refs.

this is the most important punt i've ever seen....two time outs.....and now two penalties....good grief.
