How can you do a movie about Sarah Palin without it being a hit piece?

(Also, in before "I'd like to hit a piece of that")

You won't get me to defend the cocker spaniel of American politics. But if you've seen Recount and Too Big to Fail, you know where this one is going to go.

Jay Roach is the director, extremely nice guy.

I'm surprised how much they made Julianne Moore look like Palin. Ed Harris' McCain accent sounds crappy.

My sentiment exactly. This movie was made by the right wing, for the right wing.

Actual facts it brings to the table? None.

Your lowness is going to ignore you for this post.

He can't accept his own lack of credbility amongst ~150 people who post here because they don't really give a flying ferk.

What was bad about Too Big to Fail?

GOP can easily take pot shots at Obama from the cheap seats speculating about how it could have been handled better, i.e. no bailouts. Ignore the consequences predicted by the experts, portray it simply as government spending run amok.

You can still be mad at the players and disagree with the decision, but I thought it portrayed the characters, the emotion, and the thought process accurately. And it didn't portray all CEOs in a bad light, really I only remember John Thain being portrayed in a bad light, and I'm not sure that's inaccurate.

For made for tv (even cable), it was decent movie, I thought. Could maybe have captured some of the fear a little bit better.

I can't think of a single based-on-a-true-story political movie that I have ever liked.

Which experts?

We ignored the experts that predicted the crash, and after they were proved right we ignored them when they gave us solutions (Peter Schiff, Ron Paul, Robert Murphy, etc.).

I thought it portrayed Treasury as an over the top seat of the pants operation and made John McCain and the GOP Senate look petty while Pelosi and Frank were glossed over.
