Good for Isaiah! part of he 'legacy Class' that I was not aware of...

As for the other 2 VFL's, hope they get the votes...

I would think Lewis would get more votes than McDaniel.

Good luck to them

I've long held the belief that McDaniel is one of the most underrated Vols of all time. As a Sr he was All SEC and 2nd team AA. As a genuine burner he was a safety net at DB and saved several TD's by just being THAT fast. He came here with state titles in the 100m and 200m. His 6.66 60m and 20.67 200m outdoor time are still top 10 in UT history. Went on to play in 5 Pro Bowls in an 11yr NFL career.

I would be extremely surprised if Jamal Lewis makes it into the HOF. His production in Cleveland dropped off significantly. Very nice career, but not sure it is HOF worthy.

22nd in career yards. Was the 5th of 7 players ever to rush for 2,000 yards.

His only detractor is being 50th in career rushing TDs.

I think he gets in eventually.

I was thinking about Terry McDaniel the other day... trying to remember what number he wore, I think it was 89 or 85 which was unusual for a DB.

Anyhoos hope they both make the HOF!

He wore 87. Two of my favorite dbs of all time are Terry Fair and Terry McDaniel

He started out as a WR which explains the unusual # for a DB.

The 2000 yards was a big deal.. He was dominate at Balitmore vs other backs in the league at the time..I also believe he once held the single game most yards as well for several years at 295. Going to be difficult but I was say slightly less than 50/50 on making it.

Terry McDaniel's speed was phenomenal:

Brent Fullwood 1986 Auburn High Lights - YouTube

Scroll to the :33 mark, and you'll see the play where Terry chased down Brent Fullwood to prevent what would have been a 96-yard TD run.

In regards to Isaiah being walk-on, Terry was also something of a late bloomer. He didn't really blow up until his junior year.
