2 Losses at the hands of Bama in Knoxville this academic year

29-9 and 70-67. Each game had what amounted to a lame duck coach involved, and Bama came out on top each time. It just doesn't get any worse than this....until I imagine what could happen in Gainesville and Tuscaloosa this autumn.:wacko:

I really like Coach Pearl but hes like Fulmer in that he has to have superior talent to win. If it comes down to coaching we will lose. That Alabama team had no room even being on the court with us but we flat out got out coached.

I'm not prepared to throw the coach that gave you and me these "expectations" under the bus yet.

Yall can bust on Pearl all you want, but damn guys honestly....He has one bad year, where we have the least amount of seniors playing time as anyone else in the SEC. We have Tyler and Wayne that were supposed to be really good this year, but only have their games. Everyone needs to come back next year and then we will be good. The girls team is the same way this year....Why the hell is no one busting on Summit? Oh yeah, she's proved herself and hell I thought Pearl had too. We have never had a basketball team like this, that was just dominate year in and year out, at least that I can remember, which i'm only 19, so i don't go back as far as some. Still though, get off the dude for a bit and let him prove himself in the SEC tourney, NCAA tourney, and next year when all these guys aren't freshman.

Rewind back half a decade before Bruce was here. Did any of us actually look for UT basketball threads? We were number 1 in the nation last year for a brief stint. . .for the first time. We now consistently make it to the dance.

. . .but yeah, we definitely need to fire our coach. Heads up thinking.

+1.... I guess you naysayers have forgotten the Wade Houston/Kevin O'Neill/Buzz Peterson days where we were lucky to get to the NIT and never had a CHANCE of winning the SEC.... Buncha ingrates...
