Brandon's Will Rogers leads a comeback as Mississippi wins 17-16 in overtime over Alabama in the annual MS/AL All Star football game. Madison Central's Jimmy Holiday and Rogers were the quarterbacks for Mississippi in this game. Both players came back from injuries during the game to help with the come back effort. This is Mississippi's third straight win over Alabama in this high school football all star game.
Wayne County defensive lineman Armondous Cooley got a hand on Evan McGuire’s point-after attempt in the first extra period of football to give the Mississippi All-Stars a 17-16 overtime victory over the Alabama All-Stars

Jalin Hyatt, a 6’2, 180-pound wideout from Dutch Fork High School sparked the South Carolina win with a spectacular performance that included six catches for 197 yards and two touchdowns for the Tennessee signee. Hyatt, who personally outgained an anemic Tar Heel offense that managed just 173 total yards in the contest, was named the MVP of the contest and caught touchdowns of 23 and 72 yards, the latter on a split screen to the right in the third quarter of action.
