a peach state program received grand news along with a visit from a tennessee assistant coach on friday.
Vols defensive coordinator kevin sherrer made his way to carrollton (ga.) high school. Before leaving, he informed the football staff there that linebackers chaz chambliss and kevin swint had scholarship offers.
"special thanks to new (defensive coordinator kevin sherrer) of (tennessee football) for coming by (carrollton high) this morning!" carrollton coach sean calhoun posted on social media. "(sherrer) offered our lb duo of (kevin swint) and (chaz chambliss)!"
swint, only a sophomore, measures up at 6 feet 3, 200 pounds and ranks by 247sports as one of the top 60 players in the 2020 class as well as the no. 6 outside linebacker in the nation.
Chambliss just finished his freshman season at carrollton but already lists at 6 feet 3, 220 pounds with offers from the likes of georgia, michigan and ohio state.
