Tennessee will host Rivals250 DB Donovan Kaufman for an OV this weekend. As of now, Kaufman doesn't hold an offer -- yet -- but that could change after or during the weekend. The UT staff went in-home with Kaufman last week In the state title game Friday. Kaufman had a game-winning pick-6 and KOR for a touchdown for Rummel. Tennessee is going to have to fend of Vandy (where he's committed), FSU and possibly LSU, who are all showing interest now

Discrepancy between his height on each site. Probably a candidate for Star from a quick glance of his video.

It is odd that the ranking for both he and McDaniel seem equally imbalanced between recruiting services. Rivals clearly favors This kid while 247 clearly favors MM.

Finished with 88 tackles and 5 INTs this season. MVP of the state championship game and recorded 21 tackles against powerhouse John Curtis earlier in the year.

When you allow an unbeaten, top-seeded team to hang around too long, you are going to get burned. When the best player on the field and possibly in the state impacts the game in all three phases, you are likely going to win. Catholic did the first part while Donovan Kaufman took care of the rest as Archbishop Rummel downed the Bears 14-10 in the Division I state championship game at Yulman Stadium Friday night.

Kaufman, a Vanderbilt commitment, returned a kickoff 95 yards for the game-winning score with 2:56 to play in the game. Then, Kaufman picked off a Jackson Thomas pass with two seconds left to seal the victory. As if that were not enough, Kaufman scored the only other touchdown for the Raiders, lining up at quarterback and running nine-yards for a score in a tremendous performance. That came after he forced a fumble and recovered it in the first half as well. Kaufman finished with 11 tackles in one of the best individual performances you will ever see in any game, much less a state championship game.
Kaufman turns in brilliant performance as Rummel overcomes Catholic for state title

Could play nickel or RB. Looks really good as an extra DB that can blitz and roam. 5'10 210..play him everywhere! Get him!

Not going to question Pruitt/Ansley/Mason/Raymond when it comes to DBs. Mason sucks at recruiting but DBs is his thing too.

Mason's problem is he just can't get any players to come to Vanderbilt. Thank goodness they don't play football in China or he would rack up.

Like his state title game highlight. Kid looks like a player. Also very thick body should be a great tackler. Will see where this goes

If he’s 5’9” on the school’s page, then he’s 5’7” more than likely

Any word on whether this guy made it in for a visit? He's not a prototypical safety but with McDaniel out of the picture now, I was hoping we would go after this guy.
