I realize this was a weak opponent, but I like the teamwork of this team better than last years team. They all seem to be willing to pass the ball even Simmons who had seven assists today. The team had 28. Graves is a consistent inside threat and when she is fouled she makes her free throws. I think we can contend for the SEC title and top ten in the nation.

I'm going to hold off judgement until we face better competition but I do like what I'm seeing so far. As long as we can stay healthy, I do believe we have a good shot at a great season. As for the inside presence(which is our biggest concern going into the season), Izzy has really improved her game, and the additions of Bashaara and Nia are great. I am really liking the up tempo offense that Holly has implemented. The team is fast and it works to our advantage. The defense is also relentless, which with our speed, also works to our advantage. Keep it up ladies!

I too am reserving judgment until we play some stiffer competition, but it seems this team has a lot of potential. Unless my eyes deceive me, all the freshmen look good already, but we'll see how they do against a shutdown defense. Looks like we are much improved in team speed, free throw shooting, on ball defense, post play, and depth. Good to see Holly giving the freshmen so many minutes, and my guess is that will continue even in tight games. I am really looking forward to watching this team develop, and I like all the 2013 commitments too. I fully expect us to be back in the Top 10 before Christmas, but whenever it happens, I know the girls mean business and won't back down.
