Evaluation

Keep in mind Pyne is a 2020 prospect, and his ceiling is sky high. At 6-foot-8, he has great length, but what is most impressive is his body control, his foot quickness and his technique. His steps are clean, he bends well to gain leverage (not easy for a kid his size) and explodes at the snap of the ball. A lot of his areas for improvement will take place with the normal maturation process, particularly his strength and body control. He is a tenacious blocker who does a good job with his initial punch. His hand placement sometimes is not as accurate as it will be in the future, but it is amazing to see him get out and pull at his size. He is a national recruit. -- Brian Dohn

Will be interesting to track his progress. He sounds like a one-in-a-million type of player just based on his God-given physical characteristics. Glad to see our coaching staff is among those taking note early.

Has apparently entered the portal. How has he done at BC? Comes from a line of NFL OL.

Google is your friend.

Pyne, a former four star recruit, w rated the 104th-best offensive tackle nationally by 247Sports in the Class of '20 and was the second highest rated recruit of that class behind fellow Massachusetts offensive lineman Ozzy Trapilo. Even with his high rating, Pyne, a 6-7 tackle never caught on with the Eagles, and did not see the field during his three seasons in Chestnut Hill, and was not on the two deep this season.
