Quality Football coming out of Brooklyn is a rarity

No question. There is not a ton of scouts are hitting up the 5 bourroughs for D1 recruits.

Anyone here have some insight into the level of HS football that's played in NYC? Basketball there is great, but that's not a metro area with a ton of interest in prep football. As a relatively infrequent visitor to NYC, I've always wondered about what it would be like to catch a high school game on a Friday night in the city. It's a tough ticket to get into the gym to see the elite basketball programs play.

New York state is actually a lovely place once you get out of the city, and what's interesting is that at the prep level there is a ton of interest in sports like ice hocky and lacrosse. High school football is nowhere like it is in the South or out West. Most of the high school football players across NY state who wind up playing at the next level will usually end up at the SUNY programs, with the few blue chip players usually going out of state or the junior college route. Syracuse, the only FBS program in the state, took just 3 in-state players for their 2018 class. That more than anything tells you about the dearth of talent in NY.

For real. When I have a free TV and there's no sports on I literally don't know what to watch

Listed one of 6 teams recruiting him the hardest. Florida, ScJr, Texas A&M, LSU, and Rutgers the others

Tennessee- He likes what the new coaching staff is doing at Tennessee as they try to change the culture in Knoxville. He hasn't visited yet but would like to in the future.
